I engaged Ripehouse as a buyers agent in August 2023. What attracted me to them initially was their grounding in data and research which was very important for an interstate purchase. 12 months on, the property has performed really well so very happy with the results. It was a SMSF purchase so a bit tricky getting the finance in place but the team were very patient with me. Thank you Jacob, Julian and the rest of the team. Can't wait for the next one!

After a long time overthinking a property purchase (and watching too many Ripehouse Advisory’s YouTube videos), we decided to pull the trigger and signed up with Ripehouse last April. A couple of days later, we'd agreed a buyer brief with Julian and, then a week or so later, Jade reached out to support us as our buyer's agent. Fast forward to Christmas and we're extremely happy with the outcome… we purchased an investment property in Bundaberg. The property was purchased pre-market due to vendors circumstances and Jade lined up a great rental agent who had tenants moving in days after settlement. A few observations from our Ripehouse experience: 1. We really like the Ripehouse process for shortlisting properties. Shortlisting suburbs to streets and then excluding houses based on their due diligence checklist. They presented some great properties. 2. It is unlikely someone will be able to physically attend an open house before offers are made. Most properties were presented Thu/Fri with open houses on Saturday and selling agents chasing for final offers within days. Ripehouse don’t have people sitting around waiting for a call on a Friday afternoon to visit a property the next morning. This was a frustration to us as the alternative was usually selling agent walkthrough videos which were terrible, except the last selling agent. The last selling agent sent through 10+ minutes of videos and highlighted issues as she went. This urgency is due to the market but we needed to manage our expectations. 3. Ripehouse’s YouTube video on 31 Oct 24 is great. It runs through the price points, yields and % of recent purchases by region. Would be great if they made that available after you sign up and then simply point to a region, price point and yield. Now on to the star of the show, our buyers’ agent, Jade. Jade was our day-to-day contact for the entire process and presented us with over 10 properties. We tweaked the purchase brief a couple of times during the process and moved from SEQ to Regional Qld in the end. On the final brief, we offered on the last 3 properties and had offers accepted on the last 2. A few observations from our experience with Jade: 1. Jade is SEQ based but had no trouble weaving her magic in regional Qld. She introduced us to an amazing rental agent who had a tenant lined up before we settled and paying rent 5 days post settlement. 2. Nothing was too much trouble for Jade. Everything progressed and everyone was chased, including me ;-) 3. We appreciated Jade’s guidance on deciding the reduction amounts we requested for building & pest and also a pre-settlement reduction due some challenging vendors. 4. Jade was extremely professional at all times and, in our opinion, guided us well on our offers looking after our best interest. She did not suggest we “pay a little more” to secure a property when final offers were requested if it didn’t line up with the Ripehouse deal sheets. We appreciated not feeling forced into overpaying for our property. Thank you Jade, and the Ripehouse team, for supporting us through the purchase.

They walk you through every step, and the two properties we own have grown significantly in value over the (1 & 3 years we have owned them). Our equity on the first one doubled in two years.
